By using the Kalo app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Kalo mobile application and any related services. By downloading or using Kalo, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

Kalo is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

Your Account

You sign in to Kalo using your Apple ID or Google account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account with others. Each account is for individual personal use only. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Subscriptions and Billing

Kalo offers a free tier and two paid subscription plans: Kalo Pro and Kalo Coach, billed monthly or annually.

All billing is handled by Apple through the App Store. Kalo never processes your payment information directly.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Kalo Pro includes a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. The trial does not apply to the Coach plan.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard refund policy. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Kalo for any unlawful purpose, attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the app, access another user's account or data, use automated tools or bots to interact with the app, or interfere with the app's servers or performance.

Health and Nutrition Disclaimer

Kalo is not a medical application. The calorie estimates, nutrition information, and health data provided by Kalo are for general informational and tracking purposes only. They are not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

AI-generated food analysis may not always be accurate. Always verify nutrition information if precision is critical, especially if you have a medical condition or are under a doctor's care. If you have questions about your health or diet, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within Kalo, including the Kalo name, flame logo, and calorie ring design, are owned by Kalo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of Kalo without express written permission. Your personal data and food logs remain yours.

Availability and Updates

We aim to keep Kalo available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or circumstances beyond our control. We may update the app and its features at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kalo and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the three months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.

Termination

You may stop using Kalo and delete your account from the Profile screen at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Kalo after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
